The new Spendor S3/5se is an advanced version of the S3/5. It maintains the fundamental objectives of the original LS3/5a and S3/5 while raising the sound quality and technical performance to a new level of refinement. To maintain the 'BBC Sound' the S3/5se has a thin walled heavily damped cabinet and our special Spendor 140mm bass-midrange drive unit. The S3/5se incorporates a high performance 19mm soft dome Spendor-Scanspeak tweeter and a new crossover network. The crossover features the same topology and engineering as our latest Spendor 'S' series loudspeakers The new S3/5se offers even better sound integration, more even frequency response through the critical mid-band, improved tonal balance and significantly better power handling. Subtle improvements to the off-axis energy output allow the S3/5se to deliver its beautifully open and realistic sound in a wider variety of listening environments.
